Invite a Candidate to an Interview

The candidates displayed in the Candidates to Invite list are waiting to be invited to an interview. When an RMS user moves a candidate into a workflow folder associated with a message trigger, the candidate is automatically copied to Interview Scheduling and placed in the Candidates to Invite list.

Users with the View Interviews (or higher) permission can perform this task.

To invite a candidate to an interview:

  1. Go to Message Center > Candidates to Invite.

  2. Click the arrow next to Candidates to Invite. The list of candidates waiting to be invited to an interview is displayed.  (Candidates are displayed in the order in which they were sent to Interview Scheduling).

  3. Click the name of the candidate to invite to the interview.

  4. Review the comment, if any, entered by the RMS user who requested the candidate be invited to interview.

  5. To invite the candidate, select the interview to which the candidate should be invited in the Select Interview field.

  6. Interviews that meet the following criteria are NOT displayed in the Select Interview field:

  1. Click Invite.

  2. Interview Scheduling checks to be sure that the same candidate has not already been invited to the same interview for the same requisition.

  3. If not already invited, the candidate is automatically sent an e-mail invitation.

  4. If the candidate has already been invited to the selected interview for the same requisition, Interview Scheduling displays a message with the following options:

  5. Click Re-invite if you want to re-invite the candidate to the interview. The candidate is automatically sent another e-mail invitation.

  6. Click Do Not Invite if you do not want to re-invite the candidate.

  1. Click Do Not Invite if you do not want to invite a candidate to an interview. The candidate will be removed from the Candidates to Invite list.

  2. To wait to make a decision about the candidate, click Cancel. The candidate will remain in the Candidates to Invite list.
