The job application process begins when a position, or job requisition, is posted on an electronic job board. Applicants review the job description and they may then submit an application for the posted position. Once the applicant submits their job qualifications, they become a candidate for the position. All submitted candidate information is stored in the RMS Recruiting Portal as a candidate profile.
As the candidate's qualifications are reviewed, they may be dispositioned as unsuited for a position, or they may progress through the hiring process workflow for further consideration. Some RMS workflow folders are configured with triggers that automatically email the applicant if it is determined they are unqualified for the position. Other folders may be configured with triggers that send email invitations to qualified candidates selected to interview for a position.
In this case, a candidate record is created for the candidate in the Interview Scheduling application. This new candidate record consists of a link to the Candidate Profile and other applicant information such as resume, job history, skills list, etc. that is stored in the RMS Recruiting Portal. Once a candidate accepts an invitation to interview for a position and selects an interview time slot, they become associated with the interview and their candidate record is displayed on the Candidate Summary Table associated with the interview.
From the Candidate Summary Table, you can:
Search for specific candidates who have been invited to the interview.
View information about a selected candidate in the RMS Recruiting Portal.
Re-invite candidates who have not responded to their interview invitations, or who have misplaced their email invitation.
Cancel interview invitations.
Review a candidate's reason for declining an interview invitation.
Indicate that one or more candidates did not appear for their scheduled interviews.
Indicate that a candidate's interview is complete.
Review and upload feedback forms for a candidate.
Access the slot selection page for a candidate, where you can accept or decline an interview invitation on a candidate's behalf.
As stated above, the candidate summary table provides access to the candidate's profile in the RMS Recruiting Portal, the Slot Selection page associated with the interview to which the candidate was invited, and the feedback forms associated with the interview.
Candidates with a status of Pending Invitation or Did Not Invite are not displayed in the candidate summary table on the Edit Interview page since they are not yet associated with an interview.
Until they choose a specific interview time, slot selection information is not available for candidates with a status of Invited.
All columns in the candidate summary table are sortable. The default display is a descending view of the interview slot start date and time. The candidate summary table includes the following columns:
