The Message trigger displays a dialog box in which the RMS user enters a message that will be forwarded to Interview Scheduling along with the candidate information. The messages create a queue of notices that are displayed in the Message Center and in the Quick Schedule area. |
Typical Uses |
This trigger is used to prompt recruiters to create an explanatory note when specifying a candidate to be interviewed. |
Limitations |
This trigger does not immediately invite candidates to interview. It allows the Interview Scheduling user a final review where the decision can be made to either invite or invite the candidate to an interview. |

The instructional text should provide context on the data the Recruiting Portal user should enter when the trigger fires. Example, "You are sending a message to Interview Scheduling asking that this candidate be invited to an interview. Enter a note with any needed details about inviting this candidate. The note will be displayed within the Interview Scheduling application." The maximum length of this field is 250 characters, including blank spaces. |

When this trigger fires, the Recruiting Portal user is able to select from a list of qualifying, existing interviews associated with the selected interview category. If no interviews exist within this category, an error message is displayed. |
