Change Secret Question / Answer

A company's configuration may allow users to create a secret question and secret answer to be used to retrieve or reset a user's password. If secret questions and answers are part of the configuration, your company can use one of two question / answer options:

  1. The company may provide a list of pre-selected secret questions from which users can choose. Users can select one of the questions and then provide the correct answer to the question.

  2. The company may allow users to define their own secret question and answer.

 

If your company uses secret questions and answers, users may need to occasionally change their secret question or secret answer for any of the following reasons:

  1. Note: If PeopleFluent iPaaS (Integration Platform as a Service) is enabled, users cannot configure secret questions or secret answers on the My Account Page.

To change your secret question and / or secret answer:

  1. From the Sign in Portal, select My Account from the Global Option Bar. From any other RMS application, select the Preferences link in the page header to open the My Account page.

  2. Click Change Secret Question / Answer button on the main navigation panel.

Pre-selected Questions

If the company provides a pre-selected list of secret questions:

  1. Select the desired secret question from the Secret Question list.

  2. Enter the answer to the secret question in the New Secret Answer field.

  3. Click Save.

User-Defined Questions

If the company allows users to define their own secret question:

  1. Enter the desired secret question in the Secret Question field.

  2. Enter the answer to the secret question in the New Secret Answer field.

  3. Click Save.
